From a spreadsheet to a system
that moves real money.

The Unit Linked product worked — but it lived in a spreadsheet. Every new client, every contribution, every withdrawal meant manual work, and manual work with people's money means operational risk that grows with every row.

An established insurer cannot fix that with a shiny greenfield app. Whatever I built had to live inside their infrastructure, their security requirements and their processes — not mine.

I designed and built the platform that manages the product end to end: onboarding new clients, processing contributions, handling withdrawals and keeping every movement of money accounted for — replacing the spreadsheet as the source of truth.

The discipline was the opposite of a startup MVP: no clever abstractions, no favorite stack. Software that moves money has one job — being reliably, auditably right — and every technical decision bowed to that.

Most agencies arrive with their stack and ask the client to adapt. Inside a regulated, established organization that is not an option — and pretending otherwise is how internal projects die.

This is the same judgment I bring to startups, pointed at a different target: understand the constraints first, then build the simplest system that respects them. A spreadsheet retired, an operational risk closed, and a financial product on rails.
